At present, China's strawberry production area ranks first in the world, the production area has already exceeded 1 million mu. The cultivation of large fruit strawberry in China began in 1915, but it was not taken seriously in the past and developed slowly. Strawberry production has developed rapidly since the 1980s. Among them, the main producing areas are distributed in Liaoning, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang and other eastern coastal areas, in recent years, Sichuan, Anhui, Xinjiang, Beijing and other areas are developing very fast.
